I actually blog at LiveJournal.

There must be an easier way

From what I can tell, I managed to pick a template that doesn't have a links list set up... or I'm totally blind to it. *sigh* It's not that I'm computer-illiterate, I html-code my own danged website, but I want premade places to be easier than this. And I don't have time right now to figure it out, so I'm just frustrated and going to go away and come back another time.

Funny thing is, LJ was down for the past couple of days but I didn't even think of posting here until cathexys ran a poll asking where other folks had backup journals. I think because I just don't find this setup nearly as congenial. It's really not conducive to easily clicking to other people's journals, at least not any way I've been able to tell - can't list links to them, no friends list, nada. So singularly unhelpful for the way I blog.

Hmm...

It's going to take awhile to get used to the differences from LJ, if I decide to bother. No Friends-list equivalent, as far as I can tell, and no easy way to find someone else's blog. On the other hand I've spent a couple of hours browsing through with the Next Blog button, and run across some interesting stuff; it's also noticeable how many non-English blogs there are, which is cool.

Initial

I don't know to what extent I might use this instead of my already-extant LiveJournal, but fwiw. Interestingly there was already someone with the user id that I have on LJ, so I had to go with a different one.
